Welcome to blog help for PHY 122! Here's how it works. For each homework question and lab report we will make a post, this will probably contain a few tips on what the problems are about and how to solve them. If you are stuck on something then instead of emailing us directly you should post a comment in reply to the relevant post. We will try to guide you through tough points and help you understand the problems and the concepts behind them.

Wow! And I don't have to have a gmail account, or tell anybody who I am! I posted this just by clicking "Post A Comment."
Are the physics labs meeting the first week of the semester?
According to Solar labs don't meet until the 2nd week.
Has anyone else tried to register their clicker? I downloaded the instructions and I'm good until slide 7 and then the instructions we were given are completely useless. My screen looks totally different when I click on CPS tools. I played around a little but I haven't been able to find any links that will allow me to register through Bb, they keep sending me to the einstruction website.
This is maybe going to sound like a dumb question, but what happened to the workshop times on the schedule? Its not on solar anymore and is no longer a part of my personal schedule. I don't remember what time I was supposed to have it or where it was supposed to be.
First lab meetings are in the week of September 13th.
This is the first I've heard of a clicker registration problem, and there are more that twenty registered clickers now. The screen shots are slightly out of date, but the process is the same. Did you get (and heed) the information about browser cookies?
Workshops? Do you mean recitations? The course does not have recitations this semester. The only course meetings are the lectures, TuTh 3:50 - 5:10, and your (Phy 124) lab meeting.
When do we officially need our clicker? Are there going to be clicker questions this week and are they going to count?
We'll practice using clickers in class Tuesday, and they start counting towards your grade on Thursday (Sept. 2).
We will drop the FIVE lowest clicker scores in computing your grade, so there should be no panic in missing your clicker for a few days
hi, it's lonely in the help room
Will there be a way to keep track of our clicker performance?
On the reading schedule you have that for Tuesday August 31st we were to cover 15.1 and then on Thursday 15.2, while in reality on Thursday we covered 15.1, 15.2, and 15.3. How are we supposed to follow the schedule? What do you mean by the numbers that you post in the schedule?
6:27 PM - You will see your clicker grades in Blackboard shortly after each lecture.
9:20 PM - On the schedule, 15.1 and 15.2 mean the first and the second half of Ch. 15. We haven't had Thursday yet - I suppose you mean sections through 15.3 on Tuesday. Yes, we'll finish Chapter 15 tomorrow (Thursday).
